Cote d'Azure Holiday Apartments on the French Riviera @ Frejus | | |
Monaco /Monte Carlo
#1
Monte Carlo oozes atmosphere. Early Sunday morning there's not much traffic, so you can roar round
the Grand Prix circuit. Start on the pit straight,
up the hill, across Casino Square (We've never seen so many Bentley convertibles parked up together). It doesn't take much to make the tyres squeal round
the Lowe's hairpin, through the tunnel and back round by the swimming pool. You can get a real
flavour of what it must be like, even in a hire car (and who
cares if you bend it a bit), they must lose quite a lot that way.
Here is a small picture of a very large boat, not what we're jealous, there's just so many of them in
the harbour. Still, if you can afford a holiday on a boat
this big you probably won't be looking at this Web site anyway.
On the way back from Monaco take the coast road (Cornice) and visit the local harbours and villages
along the Riviera. This one is Villefranche.

You must visit the underground toilets in the Casino Square at Monaco. They are a marbled splendour,
but beware of the self-cleaning loo seats. Just make sure
you're not sitting on them when you flush it. It could be very painful.
